Vallie the Giant Tusker | Last Moments at Addo Elephant Park

In this rare and powerful video, Vallie — one of Addo Elephant Park’s most iconic big tuskers — makes his final filmed approach to a waterhole. With calm authority, he saunters across the dry plains on a hot, overcast day.

As he trumpets his arrival, the herd parts, making way for this magnificent bull — a moment of pure reverence in the animal kingdom.

Tragically, Vallie later died from injuries sustained during a clash with another bull. This footage preserves his legacy — a majestic, irreplaceable presence in the wild.
