Bonds of Love | Iconic African Elephant Wall Art
Transform your space into a tranquil oasis with photographs that celebrate the profound beauty of Africa. Observing elephants is a deeply moving experience that resonates with the soul, showcasing their ability to form unbreakable bonds and express a spectrum of emotions, from tender affection to fierce protectiveness.
In the wild, these majestic creatures are known for their unwavering devotion to their young. When danger strikes, the herd unites with loud trumpeting and flapping ears to protect their vulnerable calves. I once witnessed a poignant moment during a safari when a bull elephant tried to separate a newborn from its mother. The baby’s distressed cries prompted the herd to immediately surround and shield the little one, their trunks reaching out in a comforting embrace. This powerful display of love and protection was captured in a photograph that holds special significance for me.
My wife and our baby were with me during this event, and while they were touched by the beauty of the moment, the initial sight of the baby elephant’s distress was difficult for them. Just as we were about to leave, I glanced in the rearview mirror and saw the heartwarming scene of the elephant family encircling the newborn. Without hesitation, I turned the car around and captured a single photograph that has become a cherished memory for us all.
Bring the essence of these remarkable bonds into your home and experience the grace and strength of Africa’s wildlife through this heartfelt image.
Black Maned Lion | Heart Of Darkness | African Wall Art
Standing alone in the presence of a Kalahari black mane lion, one can't help but feel a primal fear take hold, even as they try to reassure themselves that they're safe. The Matriarch | Iconic African Elephant Wall Art
I hadn't noticed her at first because she was facing us. My heart began to race, my senses were heightened, and a wave of excitement washed over me. I'd always wanted to capture a fine art wildlife photograph of an elephant with long tusks, but I assumed it would be a bull. I'd never seen a female elephant with longer tusks than this matriarch
Black Maned Lion | Norman | African Lion Wall Art
The Kalahari Lions of Tswalu
The Kalahari black-maned Lion is named Norman, not a very exciting name, and he and his brother, his cousin, called Zwaai were a very successful coalition of lions with black mane at Addo Game Reserve in South Africa. Norman was born in Addo in June 2008, and Zwaai in August 2008; they shared a father, Jack, but a different mother.
Leopard on the Prowl | Iconic African Wall Art
Among my leopard photographs, this one is truly exceptional. Capturing a leopard mid-stride as it walks gracefully along a massive Marula tree branch, this scene offers a rare and dynamic perspective. Unlike the common images of leopards lounging or perched, this print showcases the elegance and power of this magnificent big cat in motion. The composition is striking, with the leopard’s focused gaze and raised paw drawing attention, while the natural framing of branches and autumnal leaves adds depth and texture. The subtle blur in the paw conveys movement, while the sharp focus on the face brings the scene to life, inviting the viewer into the leopard’s world.
This fine art black and white print is a timeless piece, perfect for those who appreciate the beauty of African wildlife and the artistry of monochrome photography.

Fever Tree Leopard | Wildlife Wall Art
"Encountering a leopard is an incredibly rare and breathtaking experience. Imagine stumbling upon this majestic creature deep within a Fever Tree Forest, perched gracefully on a branch, then elegantly strolling along its massive bough - it's truly a bucket list moment. The Stare | Lion | Lake Nakuru | Stunning Wall Art
As the golden light of sunset began to fade over Lake Nakuru, the air thickened with the promise of rain. A pride of lions lay sprawled along a dirt road, their languid forms blending seamlessly with the ochre tones of the earth. I had hoped for the iconic scene of lions draped across the branches of Fever trees, but nature, as ever, had its plans.
A young male stirred, rising with a quiet elegance. He turned his head, and for a moment, our worlds intersected. His piercing gaze held mine through the lens—an intimate, almost primal connection that defied words. In that brief encounter, this majestic creature's untamed power and vulnerability felt profoundly tangible.
He broke the moment with a slow, deliberate stretch and moved to rejoin his pride. Their attention shifted, eyes scanning the horizon where the distant silhouettes of prey emerged against the encroaching twilight.
This image is a testament to the ephemeral beauty of the wild—a fleeting moment where predator and observer meet in quiet understanding.

In the heart of the Mara region, two remarkable cheetah brothers, sons of the venerable Rosetta, grace the vast African landscape. Born into a lineage that traces back to the legendary Resy, these siblings embody the spirit of survival and kinship. Captured in a stunning black and white print, the brothers perched on top of a termite mound against the savannah grassland, symbols of the untamed beauty of the wild. Their names, Ruka and Rafiki, echo through the ages, carrying the legacy of their ancestors. Serendipity | Giraffes | African Wildlife Photography
In the heart of the Masai Mara, a masterpiece of nature unfolds. A black and white fine art print captures the essence of five giraffes gracefully traversing the savanna in the aftermath of a summer storm. The sky adorned with lingering clouds sets the stage for this extraordinary scene.
Picture this: a diagonal procession, the giraffes' long necks and elegant legs moving in perfect harmony with the gentle breeze that rustles through the tall grass. No trees interrupt the horizon, allowing the beauty of the giraffes and the landscape to take center stage.
As the middle giraffe halts, a mesmerizing symmetry emerges. It fixes its gaze upon you, the photographer capturing this ephemeral moment. Two companions on either side continue their diagonal journey, creating a scene of perfect balance and serenity.
The wind plays with the long grass, adding a dynamic element to the composition. It's a dance of nature — giraffes, grass, and clouds, each element contributing to the timeless elegance of the Masai Mara. This fine art print invites you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of this extraordinary encounter, where the beauty of simplicity is captured in every detail.
This title aims to reflect the concept of "equivalence," emphasizing the harmony, balance, and deeper meaning captured within the image of the giraffes as described in the accompanying text.
“Camelopard" | Giraffe | African Wildlife Wall Art
The Masai Mara is one of the most wondrous wildernesss left on Earth. It's an expanse of rolling hills and open savanna dotted with acacia trees ... in summer the land is a sea of rolling green. It's January and rains have arrived unexpectedly. The sky is filled with fluffy clouds and the air smells of wet earth. The trees have luscious leaves and Giraffes will walk miles to sample the leafy delights. They are so spoiled for choice that they move on quickly to sample nearby trees making it difficult to photograph them ... but I did eventually and I love this print .. there is peaceful tranquillity that touches the soul .. a tree a giraffe clouds and a sea of grass ... simplicity at its best fine Art Wildlife Photography
Najin | Last Northern White Rhino
As Najin, one of the last northern white rhinos on Earth, approached me through the tall, whispering grasses of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the weight of her lineage became profoundly tangible. Her silhouette—a symbol of a species teetering on the edge of existence—emerged from a background softly interrupted by fence posts and a blurred enclosure, emphasizing the confined reality of her remaining days. A small bird perched atop one of the posts, a poignant reminder of the wilderness that Najin can only observe from within her boundary. This portrait is both a homage to her strength and a reflection on the delicate balance between protection and captivity in today’s conservation efforts.
White Rhino Bull | "Nose-Horned" | Wildlife Print
Captured in the wide grasslands of Ol Pejeta, this striking black-and-white print presents a majestic white rhino bull, his massive horn commanding attention. Taken from a low angle, the perspective highlights the sheer power and presence of this incredible creature as he strides confidently across the landscape. His profile is beautifully defined, revealing the textures and details of his armor-like skin, etched with the creases and folds of his journey. The minimalist composition, with a clean horizon and no distractions, allows the raw beauty of the rhino and the gentle sway of the long grass to speak for themselves. 'Nose Horn,' inspired by the Latin word for rhinoceros, emphasizes the grandeur of nature in its purest form.

Elephant Ridge | Iconic African Elephant Wall Art
Elephant Ridge" is a captivating black-and-white fine art print that showcases the majestic beauty of a herd of elephants in Etosha, Namibia. This stunning image, one of my personal favorites, was the result of a week-long quest in one of my most cherished photographic destinations.
The journey to capture this image was filled with anticipation and moments of despair. For days, I scoured the vast landscape in search of this particular herd of over thirty elephants. Just as hope was waning, on the final day of my self-drive photographic safari, fortune smiled upon me. From a distance, I spotted the herd and quickly made my way to a nearby waterhole on a small plateau. Although I missed them drinking, my spirits lifted as I watched the elephants begin to move in my direction.
Seizing the moment, I positioned my vehicle parallel to the ridge and set up my camera, ensuring every detail was perfect. With the dust and sand creating an ethereal atmosphere, the elephants aligned perfectly along the ridge's spine. I pressed the shutter, immortalizing this fleeting moment in "Elephant Ridge." In an instant, the alignment was gone, but the image captured a timeless scene that will forever resonate with me.

African Buffalo | Widow maker | Wildlife Wall Art Print
The Cape buffalo is an incredibly majestic animal with a distinct appearance, including a large and powerful build, massive curved horns, and a thick and shaggy black coat. The buffalo is known for its aggressive and unpredictable behaviour, earning it the nicknames of "widowmaker" and "black death". Despite this reputation, the Cape buffalo symbolises strength and resilience, and my wildlife photography portrait perfectly captures his essence. If you're looking for a unique piece of art to adorn your walls, consider purchasing a print of this stunning portrait. It is sure to make a bold and impressive statement in any space.
Elephant Family| Ubuntu | Beautiful Wall Art Prints
My black and white print of the Elephant Family, titled "Ubuntu," is a stunning work of art that captures the beauty and majesty of these incredible creatures. The group of adult and young adult elephants surrounding the baby elephants in the centre is a powerful image that conveys the strong social bonds and family values that elephants are known for. This print is not only visually captivating but also carries a meaningful message about the importance of community and family.
The title of the print, "Ubuntu," references an ancient African philosophy that emphasizes the interconnectedness of all people and the importance of community. The word ubuntu, which comes from the Zulu and Xhosa languages, can be translated as "humanity towards others" or "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity." This philosophy is reflected in the loyalty and strong social bonds of elephant families, which makes them a symbol of trust, loyalty, and family bonding in many African cultures.
As a print that captures the essence of this African philosophy and the beauty of the Elephant Family, this work of art would make a wonderful addition to any collection. The title, "Ubuntu," and the inclusion of the text about the philosophy and the meaning behind the Elephant Family make it a piece that is not only visually striking but also carries a powerful message.
Hyena | Impisi | Black And White Animal Photography
Despite their reputation as scavengers, hyenas are actually skilled hunters and will often chase down and kill their own prey. They are also very opportunistic and will eat just about anything they can get their jaws on.
Hyenas are found in a wide range of habitats throughout Africa and parts of Asia. There are four species of hyena, including the spotted hyena, the striped hyena, the brown hyena, and the aardwolf.
Black Death: African Buffalo Herd
Captured during an unforgettable November safari in Kenya.
This striking black-and-white print, “Black Death,” offers a rare, head-on view of an immense herd of African buffalo, their powerful forms and stoic expressions intensified by dramatic storm clouds above. The scene is breathtakingly raw—a few hundred buffalo stretching across the landscape, with a massive bull at the heart of the frame. His colossal horns, curving outward like an infinity symbol, command attention and give a sense of timeless power and resilience.
Photographing buffalo is a challenging endeavour. These formidable animals are dangerous and notoriously unpredictable in movement, making it incredibly rare to capture them directly approaching. This unique moment came together as the herd advanced in unison, creating an awe-inspiring scene for myself and my clients, with only a fleeting chance to get it right. The stormy November skies add depth and contrast, casting an intense mood over the image.
Printed with rich, dark contrasts, “Black Death” is a testament to these animals' resilience and a dramatic piece for those who appreciate the raw beauty of African wildlife. This fine art print is crafted to evoke the energy, tension, and scale of this unforgettable encounter, bringing the viewer face-to-face with the sheer power of Africa’s wilderness.
Weathering the Tempest | African Lions
In “Weathering the Tempest,” this black-and-white portrait of a lion and lioness in the Masai Mara reveals a quiet power, capturing a fleeting moment against a dramatic African sky. Framed by brooding storm clouds and a lone tree in the vast savannah, this image conveys not just a scene but a story of resilience and connection.
The lion, poised and looking beyond the frame, suggests an unseen tension, while the lioness, lying down after a brief moment of intimacy, meets the viewer’s gaze directly. Together, they hold an intensity that speaks to their shared strength in the face of nature’s looming tempest.
The choice of a wider lens to reveal the savannah adds depth, anchoring the lions within their habitat and offering a sense of place that highlights the raw, untamed spirit of the Mara. In this high-contrast monochrome, the tonal play of light and shadow guides the eye through each element, each detail reinforcing the emotional depth of the scene. “Weathering the Tempest” stands as an exploration of power, vulnerability, and the timeless beauty of Africa’s wild heart.
Queen of the Mara | Fine-Art Print
The Matriarch had the longest tusks I had ever seen on a female elephant.
It is the most amazing and humbling experience to be in such proximity to an elephant herd. The elephants were all around us, and they were relaxed, and so were we.
The moment I had hoped for, silently began to unfold in front of me,
The Matriarch turned towards me, and we were eye to eye, as she reached for another bunch of grass. One of my guests, let a small yelp of delight as a baby elephant nearby reached its trunk towards her. The Matriarch reacted by extending her ears; at that moment all the elements needed to create a compelling portrait came together, the Matriarch was front on, eye to eye, ears out, trunk slight curled at the tip, I held my breath, and pressed the shutter. I breathed a sigh of both relief and joy.
Giraffe and Oryx
Giraffes and Oryx
This striking monochrome fine art print captures a moment of stillness and grace in the heart of Etosha National Park. On the horizon, a majestic sand dune rises, while a lone oryx pauses thoughtfully before descending the far side. Framed by the timeless beauty of the open landscape, the giraffes stand tall and serene, their elegant forms blending harmoniously with the scene. The high-key style adds a dreamlike quality, emphasizing the contrast between the rugged terrain and the gentle stillness of the wildlife.
This artwork celebrates the quiet interactions of nature, offering a captivating addition to any space—a piece that evokes a sense of wonder and connection to the wild.
Giraffes | Peek a Boo
Giraffes | Life On The Edge | Fine-Art Print
I can still taste the sand in the air. The berg wind carried desert sand and fine calcrete dust, turning the sky to a muted middle grey and making my eyes water. Etosha Pan stretched before me, its surface scarred with cracks and glistening through a heat haze. Sparse vegetation along the edges acted as a natural vignette, framing the scene.
Through the shimmering heat, distant forms of animals appeared, slowly making their way to the pan's edge for life-saving water. A beautiful S-shaped stream snaked its way into the pan’s surface, creating a striking composition in the stark environment. My senses heightened as I envisioned how to compose a photograph that would encapsulate the essence of this moment. Like a street photographer, I decided to wait patiently for the perfect subject to appear.
Earlier that day, 50 kilometers away, I had noticed two giraffes striding purposefully along the edge of the pan. Their journey puzzled me—there were no trees or bushes in the direction they were heading. Little did I know, these same giraffes would complete my vision by arriving at the very waterhole I was watching.
Hours passed. Scores of animals came and went, quenching their thirst. Despite the activity, I had yet to capture a single frame. Then, in the distance, I spotted the giraffes. My heart raced as I realized the distance they had traveled to reach the spring before me.
This waterhole, situated on the edge of Etosha Pan, is a notorious lion ambush site. The sun-whitened remains of previous victims were a chilling reminder of the danger. Fully aware of the risks, the giraffes approached cautiously. One took position at the top of the stream, facing west, while the other stood in the middle, facing east. They alternated turns drinking and keeping watch, protecting one another from an ambush.
As they stood upright in unison, I steadied myself, peered through the viewfinder, and pressed the shutter. In that moment, I captured not just an image, but a story of resilience, caution, and the remarkable bond between these gentle giants—a moment that will remain etched in my memory forever.
The Serengeti Boys | Eye to Eye
The Serengeti Boys – a coalition of four majestic male lions whose dominion spans the vast terrains of Kenya and Tanzania, traversing the iconic Masai Mara and Serengeti.
In this striking black-and-white print, one member of this legendary brotherhood is captured moments after being stirred by the gentle hum of our vehicle. Half-sitting in the rain-soaked savanna grass, his piercing stare locks onto the lens, sending shivers down the spine. The long, wet grass clings to his powerful frame, and the softened backdrop of mist and rain in the Mara North Conservancy adds an ethereal quality to this breathtaking encounter.
This scene encapsulates the lion’s raw power and unyielding presence, a stark reminder of the wild’s untamed beauty. The misty ambiance, coupled with the lion's commanding gaze, creates an unforgettable portrait of primal grace and authority.
This fine art print immortalizes the spirit of these remarkable creatures, offering a compelling window into the untamed wilderness and an invitation to behold the untold stories of the Serengeti Boys.

Najin | Last Northern White Rhino | Wall Art
Najin and Fatu—mother and daughter, the last surviving northern white rhinos on Earth—roam the wilds here on Ol Pejeta. But a new scientific advancement means the mother and daughter may not be the last of their kind.
Recent breakthroughs by the BioRescue Project have injected a glimmer of hope for the northern whites. The team of pioneering scientists and conservationists have developed a new approach using advanced assisted reproductive technologies to produce northern white rhino embryos. The plan is to transfer those embryos to a surrogate southern white rhino.
Last year the team succeeded in obtaining the world’s first pregnancy in a rhino after a southern white rhino embryo transfer. The embryo was produced in-vitro from collected egg cells and sperm. This remarkable achievement is a cornerstone in the mission to save the northern white rhino as it proves the process works and now it will be possible to take this crucial step – an embryo transfer with a northern white rhino embryo – for the first time.

This tusker, his massive, time-worn tusks marking him as a true elder, stands at the front—majestic, covered in layers of mud and shadow that tell stories of his life in the marshes. His skin, covered in mud and foliage from the marshes, reveals deep creases and folds that highlight his immense size and strength. Yasuragi | Stillness in Motion | Lake Nakuru
In YASURAGI, captured on the tranquil waters of Lake Nakuru, Kenya, I sought to portray a moment where nature’s beauty converges with a sense of profound stillness. Nine cormorants perch on bare branches, their reflections mirrored in the lake’s surface, embodying balance and harmony. As one pelican glides into the frame, its gentle wake creates subtle ripples, adding texture and depth to the serene composition. This scene resonates with the Japanese concept of yasuragi — an invitation to find calmness and peace in the simplicity of nature. The high-key black-and-white style accentuates the elegance of form and movement, capturing the spirit of these birds in their quiet habitat.
This image was a moment of waiting and observation, aligning with the patience required to reveal the often-overlooked poetry of wildlife.
I hope YASURAGI inspires viewers to appreciate the stillness found in nature and the harmony we can find within ourselves.
March of the Bull Elephants | Grey Ghosts of Etosha
Excerpt from my field notes
“This was my one chance, and I may never see this many huge bull elephants together again.”
I composed the wildlife photograph in my viewfinder and waited. I needed one thing to make the image work—the lead bull elephant to open and flap its ears. As the elephants approached, they began to fill my frame, and then the lead massive bull flapped its ears to cool down. I pressed the shutter, and my heart jumped for joy” I had created an impressive black and white wildlife photography print.
Tusker | Kambaku | Mara Triangle | Wildlife Prints
This massive Bull Elephant ambles towards me; I cannot believe how big he is.. he towers above my 4x4, and he passes within feet of me, silently and peacefully. A fleeting moment with a gentle giant…and stunning fine art wildlife photography print.
Kambaku is the Tsonga word for 'Great Tusker' or 'Old Elephant Bull'.

This print is perfect for wildlife enthusiasts and adds a dramatic touch to any space.
Elephant Velvia Sunset | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
En Route Back To Camp After A Long Day Of Photographing Wildlife, I Stumbled Upon A Lone Bull Elephant Standing Majestically At The Edge Of Etosha Pan, Africa’s Largest Salt Pan. The Seasonal Winds Filled The Air With Dust And Sand, Creating A Mystical Atmosphere. As I Watched, The Setting Sun Bathed The Scene In A Stunning Palette Of Orange And Purple Hues, Reminiscent Of Velvia Film’s Rich Tones. The Result Was A Perfect Moment Of Natural Beauty Captured In A Photograph.
While I Typically Favour Black And White Photography, This Rare Opportunity To Showcase The Vibrant Colours Of Africa's Wilderness In A Fine Art Colour Print Was Irresistible. This Piece Captures The Essence Of The Moment And The Soul Of Africa’s Untamed Beauty.
The Gladiator-Showdown | African Wildlife Fine Art Prints
Skirmishes erupted among the White-backed Vultures, their desperate energy palpable in the dry riverbed of the Nossob in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It was deep into summer, and the rains had yet to arrive. The land was parched, the animals starving, and the eland—so resilient in other times—were among the hardest hit. The stench of death hung heavy in the air, borne of countless carcasses scattered across the barren landscape.
Prides of lions lounged nearby, sated from the bounty of an unforgiving season, while hundreds of scavengers—vultures, eagles, and others—fought for survival amidst the grim remains. The scene was chaotic as I stumbled upon it, the desperate struggle for food played out in a whirlwind of feathers, dirt, and raw ferocity.
Amid the turmoil, the White-backed Vultures broke into violent clashes. The dust storm they kicked up engulfed them, obscuring everything except for fleeting glimpses—a head, a claw, the curve of a wing—briefly appearing and then vanishing in the maelstrom. It was as though the vultures were gladiators locked in a desperate battle for their lives, their intensity amplified by the harshness of the environment.
Driven more by instinct than certainty, I kept clicking the shutter, hoping to freeze moments of clarity amid the chaos. When the dust finally settled, I lowered my camera, overwhelmed by what I had witnessed. The rawness of nature’s survival, the desperation, and the unrelenting cycle of life and death left me humbled.
And from this powerful moment, "The Gladiator" Fine Art Print was born—a testament to the resilience of life in the harshest of conditions and the privilege of capturing it. Thank you for welcoming this piece into your collection. May it serve as a reminder of the profound beauty and intensity of the wild.
The Godfather | African Wildlife Fine Art Photography
It took weeks of patient observation to capture this wildlife photograph of one of Africa’s tallest and biggest Elephants from Etosha in Namibia. I had always dreamed in my mind’s eye of capturing this wonderful moment “He stands before me in all his magnificence, raising his trunk filled with red Kalahari dust. In one fluid movement, he sprays his forehead, and for one brief moment, he is covered in the magic of dust and light.”
Check out the story behind the print.
