The Queen of the Mara and her family graze on the African savannah, it is hot and humid. The clouds roll in, and the oncoming storm will offer some respite from the heat. The Matriarch has the most impressive tusks that I have ever seen on a female Elephant. She is calm and serene and a pleasure to be in her company: this was my first time in the Mara Triangle, Kenya.
